CDS Global believes strongly in contributing to the communities in which we live and do business. Employees at each CDS Global site often participate in service activities and contribute to charitable organisations.
CDS Global recently attended an awards ceremony at The Three Swans Hotel, Market Harborough, celebrating Pride in Harborough. The evening was organised as a chance for selfless heroes and heroines from the community to be rewarded for their tireless efforts and bravery. Over 130 people attended the ceremony as the winners of each of the ten categories were presented with their awards.
Craig Campbell, Head of Business Solutions, attended the evening on behalf of CDS Global and presented the Young Achiever Award to Lucy Seaward for her ongoing and passionate campaign for a cinema to be brought back to Harborough.
The evening was a great success and a real boost for CDS Global’s support for local community.
As a supporter of our local community, we at CDS Global are only too pleased to help the causes and charities around us. Through various events held throughout the year we raised a sum of money that we then shared out over a number of local causes.
We recently donated a sum of money to help the refurbishment of the library at Little Bowden Primary School. Craig Campbell, Head of Business Solutions, presented a proportion of the funds to the school’s head teacher, Nick McDonald who commented, “We were very surprised and delighted when CDS Global decided to give us the donation. The revamped library looks great.”
Local press covered the presentation with a front-page article and were keen to discuss our other charitable donations including The Robert Smyth School and the LOROS Hospice.
The last of the funds will be going to a very special cause – the Rainbow Children’s Hospice in Loughborough. The hospice that cares for terminally ill children and their families has recently added an extension with a ‘Wall of Celebration’ linking the two buildings. The fundraising money that we send will pay for a glass block featuring an inscription to be set into the wall as an everlasting symbol of our support for the children and families who stay there.
We wouldn’t be able to give these donations if it wasn’t for the fundraising efforts of everyone here at CDS Global and we’re looking forward to another year of themed days and fun events all courtesy of our dedicated Sports and Social Committee.
