Business to Business – Account Manager

Full Time – 37.5 Hours per week

To work from both instruction and initiative to ensure that all internal/external customer expectations are exceeded. Support the Client Services Manager in ensuring the smooth running of the operation. A good consistent demonstration of flair, innovation as well as adherence to deadlines will be necessary. In addition, a self motivated style in relation to advancement of their knowledge/ability.

Main Duties

  • To be responsible for ensuring that all magazine information for both new launches and existing titles are correctly loaded onto CDS Global’s database.
  • To ensure that all client accounts are serviced in accordance with the Company’s contractual obligations and provide support and feedback to the Client Services Manager as and when necessary.
  • To gain and maintain working knowledge of the controlled circulations and subscription systems.
  • To assist in collating figures for the monthly invoicing.
  • Production of bespoke analysis, statistics, issue selections and listings as per the brief from the Clients.
  • To maintain close communication with the Client Services Manager to ensure the Publishers needs are met.
  • Highlight any errors and make constructive suggestions on improving any areas of the business.
  • Make positive suggestions on becoming more pro-active and efficient, as well as ensuring that the Company agreed objectives are complied with.
  • To respond to all client queries and/or complaints using tact and diplomacy.
  • Ensuring any issues are dealt with and corrective action is implemented to ensure no further repetition of this nature occurs.
  • Demonstrates an understanding of own organisation and the services that are provided to the clients
  • Demonstrates a broad based understanding of issues, and relates this to longer term and wider implications. Applies commercial and financial principles in order to achieve overall financial benefit for the Company.

Qualifications/Experience

Essential

  • Use of data mining software.
  • Knowledge of word & excel.
  • Knowledge of ABC and BPA audit rules/procedures.
  • Previous Account Management experience

Desirable

  • Previous experience of working in a publishing environment.
