MONTREAL – Jan. 20, 2009 –CDS Global, a worldwide leader and strategic partner in customer information and data management, named Pierre Charpentier general manager of their Montreal facility.
In this role, Charpentier is responsible for all functions of the Montreal operation, including management of client processes for CDS Global’s outsourced solutions. He is also tasked with managing relationships with the company’s French-speaking clients in Montreal and throughout Quebec.
Charpentier will report to Chris Simpson, vice president, general manager of CDS Global’s operations in Canada. Simpson is located in the company’s Toronto office.

Charpentier has a solid background in the direct marketing, publishing and subscription fulfillment industries. Prior to joining CDS Global, he served in various management functions at Unimedia; served as the vice president of Circulation for Publicor Magazines, a division of Quebecor; created his own outsourced fulfillment service company, Diffusion Conseil P.C.; and served as general manager of Joncas Telexperts, Quebecor’s integrated direct marketing organisation. Throughout his career, Charpentier has worked directly with all of Canada’s major publishers.

Charpentier received his bachelor’s degree in Administration from Université du Québec à Montréal and his second-cycle degree in Finance from Université de Montréal.
