CDS Global subscribes to NDR, a multi-site company that specialises in dedicated Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity services for mid-range and enterprise computer installations. They maintain strategic fixed site facilities throughout the U.K. as well as providing Mobile Recovery units. Each facility offers fully operational computer systems with remote communications to CDS Global’s offices (if the CDS Global networks are available) or local access if the CDS Global offices are inaccessible.
Regular complete and incremental backups are performed of all of CDS Global’s key servers using a replicated dual server/library IBM Tivoli Storage Manager system.
Annual tests are conducted to ensure the smooth transition of the in-house systems to the elected Disaster Recovery site if a disaster were to occur. The disaster recovery procedures are designed to bring the CDS Global computer systems back online and into production within 24 hours of the declaration of a disaster. |
