Insight Service
All clients with databases hosted at CDS Global are able to access their key reports via the Insight solution. Insight is a secure report portal which is used to publish both scheduled and ad hoc reports. All users have their own dedicated Insight account details that provide access to a range of shared report folders and a personal report "Inbox".
The "Inbox" feature allows CDS Global staff to publish bespoke reports for specific users. External users can also use Insight to collaborate with CDS Global staff to amend existing reports and develop new report templates.
Interactive Reporting
All reports delivered via the Insight service are interactive in nature and usually contain a combination of graphical and tabular components. This allows the reports to present both detailed numbers alongside high-level trend information.
Users then have the ability to add, remove or swap data objects to "slice and dice" results as they require. Clients can also add section breaks, append calculations, such as totals and sub-totals, and apply filters to drill into specific numbers.
Once users are happy with their results reports can be downloaded to Microsoft Excel or as PDF documents.
Standard & Bespoke Reporting
CDS Global fulfilment clients are provided with a range of standard Insight reports. These reports are grouped around key business subject areas, such as Acquisitions, Renewals/Retention and Issues.
CDS Global also offers a bespoke report development service where a member of the Business Intelligence team will work with client stakeholders to specify both the look and feel and required contents of a report before developing, testing and implementing an appropriate solution.
Dashboards
CDS Global is able to design and implement business dashboards. Also delivered via the Insight portal, dashboards normally contain a select number of key metrics displayed using intuitive graphical objects such as gauges and charts.
Report Bursting and E-mail Delivery
At certain times it is more appropriate to distribute management information as static documents. To cater for this CDS Global has the ability to automatically deliver reports as PDF or Excel documents via email. This option uses report ‘bursting’ to allow the same report to be sent to multiple users simultaneously.
This service can be configured so that each recipient receives a copy of the report that only contains the information they are entitled to view based on their Insight account details.
